Hey ! Everyone, I am Logesh. Here I am going to tell about some interesting places to visit in TamilNadu. Let's get start with my first post.

First of all let me tell you some interesting facts about TamilNadu. Tamil was spoken by Tamil Nadu people. We call them as "Tamilians". Tamil Language is the oldest and longest surviving classical language. It has a number of historic buildings and religious sites including hill stations and Hindu temples. They are often referred to as 'a land of temples' and Tamils are proud of the religious traditions. Tamilians are 2^nd place after Maharastra in the economic development and 8^th most literate state of India with 80%. Chennai Marina beach is the second longest urban beach in the world.

Each and every place has its own specialities. In this post let me tell you what are all the special things the cities in TamilNadu has.

Rameshwaram

Rameshwaram is one of the holiest places in India which is in beautiful island. According to the Hindu followers, this is the place where Lord Rama created a bridge across the sea to cross sri lanka in the epic Ramayana. The Five-faced Hanuman Temple holds the floating stone which was used to build the bridge between Rameshwaram and Sri Lanka.

Some of the places to be visit in Rameshwaram – Agnitheertham, Five-faced Hanuman Temple, Rameshwaram temple, Dhanushkodi Temple.

Chennai

Chennai formerly known as Madras, is the fourth largest city in the country, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in South India. It is the home to the second largest beach in the world, the Marina Beach. The beach is lined with eateries and stalls where you can go for a quick snack in the evening.

Chennai has some of the oldest temples in the country, such as the Parthasarathy Temple and the Kabaleeshwarar Temple. The most important of these is Fort. St. George, which is considered as one of the first British establishments in the country and Government Museum, which is also a British-era building and houses a very detailed record of the history of India.

Some of the places to be visit in Chennai – MGR film city, Arignar anna Zoological park, Marina beach.

Ooty

For every mountain lover, the idea of traveling to the city known as the Queen of the Hills holds an allure like no other. Ooty, also known as Udagamandalam, is a hill station in Tamil Nadu which serves as a very popular tourist destination for anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind. Ooty is nestled amidst the Nilgiri hills at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level and enjoys a favorable climate all year round. 

Some of the places to visit in Ooty – Nilgiri mountain railway, Ooty Lake, Rose Garden, Botanical garden, Emerald lake, Dodabetta peak.

Kanyakumari

It is Located at the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula, Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu. Earlier known as Cape Comorin, is surrounded by mountains and bordered by seashores, lined with paddy fields and coconut trees. It is called as “Mukkadal sangamirkum idam” which means 3 rivers joins together in one place. Famous for being the only place in India where you can observe the sunrise and sunset at the same beach.

 Most iconic monuments in the cityis the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a gigantic structure surrounded on all sides by the Sea, so the only way you can reach the monument is by taking a boat ride. It is also home to the Statue of the Saint Poet Thiruvalluvar, one of the greatest Tamil poets in India, standing at a massive height of 133 feet.
